I thought that entry was complete, Bobby, but I don't know if your 'Thoughts From The Road' collection is done as I expect you will have more entries! :-)

Muttado1sb thanks for reading. So do you feel like thoughts from the road is partially complete now? My thoughts from the road postings are always gonna be brief little diddys. Anyway i'm flattered that Soupy conjured up REM and Timbuck comparisons. You are an avid music lover and we have much in common there.

Haha! Bobby, this is quite fun! Soupy Sales was a funny guy, and you used that to good effect here. I wasn't on the site for the initial posting, but sorry I missed the repost last July. Reading it brings to my head a mash up of the staccato presentation of REM's 'It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)' and the lyrics of Timbuk 3's 'Welcome to the Human Race'.

The relentless, staccato pace is the perfect vehicle for conveying this kind of busy-ness. Top drawer, Bobby.

RhymeLovingWriter, I'm Just a Guy in the Diner writing poems in my recliner. Hope you enjoyed the life of a sales guy/girl. Thanks as always my poet friend!

'...words spilled out like the end of the month sales bonus...' clever Bobby. Very clever turn of phrase!

John Wertz Ha ha! Soupy actually had nothing to do with sales life. I was just playing with words. On the other hand, so glad you enjoyed the gist of the write. The words spilled out like the end of the month sales bonus. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Black Tooth and White Fang, Soupy Sales (sic I think) among the funnies to ever live. A country that produced him and Jonathan Winters can't be all bad. Loved this depiction of a salesman's life,-- so much poetry in it. Thought instantly of "Glenn Gary - Glenn Ross."
