A FEW POINTERS FOR WRITERS OF POETRY ON RHYME ZONE

Hi Kurlman, Thanks for this post with some excellent suggestions. I'd like to offer two more. Take your poem for a walk. I print a copy and pull it out of my pocket every mile or so and read it. I am always amazed at the things I notice and the ideas that pop up when I am I am out for a walk and away form the computer. Goethe called himself Der Wanderer, the hiker, and a suggestion does not come from a much better source. Second, memorize your poem. I find that if I have difficulty memorizing a piece that it might be because it is not very memorable, or that it does not flow.

Saharmarlu
( I hope I spelt that correctly ).
Has written some excellent advice.
Especially in being able to MEMORIZE a written piece.
For me?
I'm a song writer / whom orientates towards RHYMES.
Poetry ( in my opinion ), doesn't need to always rhyme
Verse for verse.
Whereas Rhymes do.
( in my humble opinion ).
But poetry is an EXCEPTIONAL ART FORM....
I find for my own personal capacities that,
Memorising Rhymes usually helps to REFINE the piece.
So I think that Saharmarlu's advice is spot on.
Cheers to all.

GOOD ON YOU!!!
I think it's fantastic that you INSISTED & PERSISTED
in using a computer... MORE POWER TO YOU!
So good on you for that!
Thanks for your pointers on writing.
You've made me VERY HAPPY in mentioning these pointers
Because I must be doing?
SOMETHING RIGHT....
In the sense that I've practised many of your pointers
For a very long time already...
This does NOT MEAN I AM BOASTING!
I also have much to learn.....
But it's great to see that many of the things I do,
In relation to writing RHYMES, are on your checklist.
I have much room for improvement.
But I realise that for me?
I'm a RHYMER....
Being a TRUE POET, is a great talent.
And EVERYBODY IS REALLY GOOD AT SOMETHING...
But I'm not a poet, and I know it 😀
Thanks for your useful tips & sharing them with us.
