The 10 character limit is ridiculous and needs to be removed for a better forum community.

What are you talking about when you say there is a 10 character limit? What is limited to 10 characters? Not our names (see mine), not the posts (see this one) and not the titles to topics (this topic has 36 characters in its title plus spaces).Comment

1 character would probably work. Sometimes replies are short and sweet (and less than 10 characters!)Comment

The 10 character limit is just fine. It eliminates the "1... 2... 3..." posts in the battles and other replies. One of the things that made the battles in the past more majestic was the color of the posts, not just the post count.
In situations other than the battles, have something to say or don't say it. I think 10 characters is fine.

I think "Hello." can be a great contribution. 5 character limit is my stance.

I think someone could easily answer a Y/N question with yes or no which would be fine. That brings you down to a 2 character minimum and at that point why not just make it 1 character which could be a or maybe a number answer. But I personally don't think I would mind having a 10 character minimum since I didn't even notice it.
