I think that is because some of us have added a few comments to peoples posts. The comments count on the Main Screen count but not on the real post count. The number on the post is what we will be using to determine the winner by the way.

This is an example of a comment post that ups the count on the Everything Else Screen but not the real count.

Since this site has very few topics in the poem section, or any of the other sections as well, I think it will discourage new members from joining. If each of you could go back to the archive and find a few of your favorite poems, riddles, etc. that you posted on the old site and repost them here that would help make this new forum fill less empty. If you have new stuff of course post that as well. But don't post 30 poems all at once. That many posts from one person all in a row will be counter productive. Just 2 or 3 will do for now. Thanks.

I posted one of my old poems. I don't have any new material...it's literally been years since I've written in poetry form. Though I've done a lot of writing, just not poetry. I'm thinking about writing a book actually.

A lot of friends and family have told me I should write a book about our current situation and experiences. I've written a few chapters. having trouble writing part of it though...wasn't a very pleasant time to remember, but necessary in the telling of our story

The freshmen at my college are such brazen little shits. The dean of student life sent out an email to just remind people to wipe their feet off as they come into buildings now that things are actually thawing out, and some punk hit reply-all and responded with:


I will apologize in advance since freshmen must park their cars in the dirt parking lot which is now completely mud. I may track in mud, so I will be apologizing in advance.

wow...what a jerk. I know of some colleges that don't allow freshmen that live on campus to have cars due to parking issues...maybe your school needs to do that if parking in the mud is such a big deal. lol Wiping your feet when entering a building is something most children are taught to do out of politeness. heck, they have a song about it on Disney Jr lol

Riiiiiiight? And the freshman parking lot is far enough away from main campus that by the time they walked up there, their shoes *should* be cleared (as long as they don't walk through other muddy areas).

It's not really so much that there's parking issues, it's just that my school is too lazy to pave over the freshman parking lot. They're dumb about a lot of things like that. Makes me glad I'm graduating in just over a month.
