the cherita will select 30 cherita for publication in its maiden online issue scheduled to debut June 2017 and celebrating the 20th anniversary of ai li's wonderful creation.

Submission Guidelines - cherita

• the cherita prefers that all submissions are your original works, although the editors will consider properly attributed previously published works
• All submissions must adhere to the cherita form - three stanzas of one line, two, lines, and three lines that tell a story
• Deadline for submissions for the June 2017 issue is Wednesday, May 31, 2017
• You may submit up to thirty cherita per person
• Please include your name, email address, street address and phone number in the body of the email
• Your subject line should read "SUBMISSIONS - [your full name]"
• Submissions will be considered by the editors who will notify submitters of selected cherita
• Subject to limited re-publication rights, all rights revert to the author upon publication in the online and Quarterly print journal (see our full submission guidelines).
• You must be at least 18 years old to submit

Submission Guidelines - artwork and photographs

• the cherita prefers that all submissions are your original works, although the editors will consider properly attributed previously published works
• All color submissions must be sent as jpg/jpeg attachments, 300 dpi, no larger than 5" x 8"
• All b&w submissions must be sent as tiff attachments, 600 dpi, no larger than 5" x 8"
• Deadline for submissions is for the June 2017 issue is Wednesday, May 31, 2017
• You may submit up to four pieces of artwork or photographs per person
• Please include your name, email address, street address and phone number in the body of the email
• Your subject line should read "SUBMISSIONS - ART - [your full name]"
• Submissions will be considered by the Art Director who will notify submitters of selected artwork and photographs
• Subject to limited re-publication rights, all rights revert to the author upon publication in the online and Quarterly print journal (see our full submission guidelines).
• You must be at least 18 years old to submit
