Tomorrow my husband and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. I don't know how that happened. We are still mentally very young.

I do like being married to my best friend. It sounds so cliche, but really can be true after awhile. Wait - best friend is too soft. More like soul-mate.

Well, now it's someone else's turn. I hope more of the poets from the rhyme side make an appearance. That would be awesome!

One last afterthought: what happens when one wins this contest?
Personally I would like a metaphorical silver-coated statue dipped in chocolate sprinkled with sugar coated flakes of poetic phantasmagoria.
Or is that too much to ask?

I actually had a small jolt of panic go through me last night when I realized all those oems from the old site are gone forever. I didn't even save them to my computer.

It's just as well. I'll have to write more, I guess.

That WOULD be a bummer CC. I try to remember to write mine in Word and then copy them to the site, but have been known, when inspiration strikes, to just type directly into a new post. That mostly happens with the haiku count poems.

8K? How long did that take you? You must have been posting multiple entries every single day. Some of the others are well ahead of me.

I'm trying to imagine how long it would take to finish 8K entries. I'm at around 2300+ and I joined at the end of March. Even if I went 'full-bore' with this it would take me the rest of the year to get to 5K. But then it's not about the numbers - except in this contest.
