Finally got to follow through on the Christmas present we gave my parents last year. They don't like to drive anywhere except locally anymore, and my Mom has relatives in CO she wanted to see. So we offered to drive them there as our gift. Somehow I imagined it would have been done months ago (not in the dead of winter with potential snowstorms, but maybe early spring). Anyway, around 1400 miles in the past five days - solo driver - that's a big number for me. I think they had a good time though - so it's all good.

I was happy to be able to give them this chance. It may very well be one of the last times my Mom and her remaining two sisters will get together. And it was very nice to see cousins I hadn't seen in years! So - win, win!
