  • Riddles mobile app

I have LOVED riddles and brain teasers since I was young. I love the challenge of having to think logically, critically, and sometimes silly, but love it even more when I come up with the right answer. So I'm thinking (since I'm a developer) of creating my own mobile app - a Riddles game. Would it be alright if you can share some riddles of your own (the question and the answer) and I'll include them, if it's okay with you. I can mention your name as the author of that riddle. Now that I think about it, it could also be a great idea to allow users to submit their own riddles (which will go through screening of course).

I suddenly remembered that I have loved writing riddles when I was in middle school. Although I am really in to poetry this couple of years, I may try to write riddles again and hopefully I can share it with you.

Well you can use any of my teasers if you want Anne. I have a bunch that I wrote which I have posted here, like "The Devil's Stone Vessel", "Off the Wall", "Moths", and "Sci-Fi Bad Words". The Missing Copper Piece is an old riddle which I heard many years ago but I version I posted here is my own write up of it so I think you can use that as well. I have many more posted on another site called "Braingle" (my name there is "electronjohn"). There are many, many other riddles there and you may find it fruitful to ask writers of teasers there if it is ok to use their riddles. Or contact that owner of Braingle and ask him/her. Good luck.

Hi Marian, thanks! I would love to include the riddles you can share. I'm going to start production by January (I'm just deciding whether to use Kony, CoronaLabs, or Xamarin for the development, but I'm leaning towards Xamarin) and I expect to be finished in 2 months or probably less because the idea of this app is really very simple. No need for high-tech graphic user interfaces.
        Build software better, together.

Hi John, thank you!!! I could definitely use your riddles. I wrote a couple of them myself, but I'm trying to really get at least a thousand riddles for the beta stage of my app, otherwise people might be bored if the riddles start repeating because the database run out. I'll try to contact Braingle and come to an amicable agreement. Thanks again!

Hey Anne! I also have a couple of riddles on my file but you gotta give me time to find them. I know where I kept them, I just don't have the time yet to dig the hole. LOL. I would love you to mention my name as the author!
